IF HUMANITY HAS DIED, LET ITS TOMB BE PALESTINE
Selim Gündüzalp

If there is cruelty somewhere,
both moaning and rebellion would be much!
One who gets a kick does not sing a song!
Some people die for all the humanity.
Just as they live for all the humanity.
Cruelty makes the voice which it wants to decrease a scream.
And some dead people talk with higher voice than living ones…
M. Selâhaddin Şimşek (1954-1994)

Cities do not only have names, they also have adjectives. Some cities pull people towards themselves like a magnet…
You love some cities as if you are familiar even if you do not go and see. For instance, Bursa, İstanbul, Konya, Erzurum...
Mecca welcomes you with a holy water, Zamzam. Medina, with its history; Damascus, with its delight; Jerusalem, with its fig and olive… If you drink a sip of its water, if you taste a morsel of its fruit, if you take a breath from its air, then you are from there; you love that city, and cannot forget.
People found the cities; however divine doctrine says us that Allah showed the regions of the cities to be found to some prophets by means of the angels.
Prophets have founded the first cities of the history after Allah showed the regions. Life is livelier, more matured there. It is closer to the essence, origin and the own character of human being.
The cities are the places where we are tested and tried as “humans”. They are places where creation and the main aim on the earth fulfilled; I mean where the exams happen.
Never forget!
Both angels and devils are in the cities… Do not forget.
Hey, human being! Don’t forget that you are being tried; never throw it from your mind.
Don’t forget Mecca, Medina, Damascus, Jerusalem; don’t! Never throw that holy region from your mind. Also Hejaz, Sinai and Palestine too… Never forget… Don’t forget that you are being tried too.
Don’t forget.
Middle East is an active and fertile region where hard exams are lived… Nowadays, it is completely so.
Those holy lands where prophets –the architects of the first civilizations- appeared are not relaxed in these days; they are as if boiling. Especially in Gaza. It is as if pains of a birth are being lived. The lands which Ottoman left couldn’t be lover for anybody. The reality doesn’t change even if the history shows one thousand reasons. Now, there, things are going worst. We are in a great exam. Mothers, fathers, and even those paradise flowers, the innocent children are crying. Our hearts are crying. Who knows? Who were there inside them –that would change the fate of the humanity and the universe? Who knows? Who can know except Allah? We are all responsible towards whole universe and whole humanity.
Remember the story of Prophet Abraham (pbuh) and the ant.
Remember the ant that was going to extinguish the fire with a drop of water in its mouth. They say it “Give up! You cannot extinguish such a big fire with a drop of water.”
The ant says “That’s not important. Let my side become obvious. If one day I am  asked about, I want it to be clear that I don’t leave alone the prophet, Halil Abraham, the messenger and friend of Allah .
Well, the one who sees the fire should run; he should ignite himself first; because the fires cannot be watched. For help –it doesn’t matter little or much- first the hearts should be opened; then the hands should be stretched.
A drop of tear from our hearts, even a single drop is so strong that it can extinguish many fires. Many impossibilities can be possible if Allah wants and accepts. Only if we do the part which we are responsible for.
Yes, our hearts are burning, crying…
The body is like the heart. There is heart of the whole humanity. Our hearts are sick, terribly sick. We are sick too and in mourning.
Everyday… Everyday a humanity calamity is being lived in front of us. How much will that disaster go on? Our brothers are being murdered. Our bodies are being copped. Shall we stay silent? Shall we not hear the screams and cries? Isn’t there even a prayer of a believer heart? Isn’t there? Isn’t he –who stays silent in the situation of injustice- Satan? Shall we stay silent? Shall we stay silent and be labeled? What shall we say, how shall we say?
A word is needed. A sentence is needed. A sentence which all the humanity will put its heart in. The words which you don’t put your heart in are empty. And empty words aren’t needed. For instance, the poems of Palestinian Mahmud Dervish:
“But, one day our voices have risen. / I am not afraid! / If your strength is enough, whip it. / My voice is, now that still high… / I am not afraid! / Follow the echoes!”
What else can those people who cannot live their youth and childhood say? What else can they say?..
Another Palestinian poet says “Children are born as men in the war environment.” He tells the events there with its all horror…
Let’s listen to Mahmud Dervish again whose poems caused argumentations in Israeli parliament:
“The time to leave has come for us. / Die wherever you want. / But, do not die among us. / We have works to do in our lands. / Here, the past is ours. / The first voice of life is ours. / Today is ours; the future is ours. / The world and afterlife is ours, here. / Go away from our lands. / From our sea, from our lands. / From our wheat, from our salt, from our stone. / Go away from everything of us. / Go away! / From the memories in our minds. / Hey, walkers among artificial words!”
...
Momentary photos and momentary news are not enough to tell the dimensions of the brutality. The photos freeze just a single moment; that’s all. But, in fact the pain is very big. The fire burns where it falls on.
For some people, the situation of the dead people is composed of just the numbers in the news. However, a human means a universe. Would we stay so insensitive and non-reacting if one of our relatives, or our own son or daughter were among the martyr? Would the prayers be so reluctant? I don’t think so. They are our believer brothers. Even though we haven’t seen or known them, they are our brothers. This is a tie which Allah has tied with the Holy Quran. Can brothers be so away from brothers?
When cameras show the pain of a father while he is carrying his son’s dead body on his arms, which humanist heart does not scream? Which scream does not joined into the other one? Every scream rising from the believer hearts, I hope, will be an avalanche, flow and reach to its target. Our tears will be blood and flow, will be flood and burble. First they will wash us and purify from those forty years old filths. Then, they will reach those dried soils and the stone hearts, I hope. Tears will wake up the sleeping lands; tears will bring the life. This winter will be short, believe! Believe, this spring will come soon.
Hey, Palestine, hey, Jerusalem, hey Gaza! If I forget you; you, forget me, you, forget me too. The holy land which our beloved prophet had gone and risen up to the heavens… If  I forget you; you, forget me too, you… Forget me, us, all of us. You, forget, you…
Can the believer hearts stop motionless here, while the blood is flowing there? Now that we are like the organs of a body, let our brothers know, our tongues have already started to pray and our hands have already been opened to the sky…
They polluted our blood. They have made our life like a poison. In fact the blood should stay in the vein. Because the blood is clean in the vein. If only a single drop flows, the disaster cannot be stopped. The story of Abel and Cain tells us a lot. The cruelty of that time increases and reaches these days. Whoever dies, if he is wronged and mistreated, in addition, if he is a believer, in fact the one is us, the shot one is us.
Our believer brothers are being murdered and killed in front of our eyes. Oh, Allah! Do not leave the cruelty of these blood sucker, cruel vampires unpunished. Give both materially and spiritually easiness to the ones who are trying to prevent the cruelty. Oh, Allah! Give your divine help -that no one can guess and know when to come- suddenly like in Bedr, like in Hendek night. There is no doubt that screams of mistreated people reached to the sky. Accept our prayers for the sake of those innocent people. Take out those who regard this cruelty as being fitting to these people from this continent and these lands; banish them; never let them come back again. Make them experience the most difficult misery and punishment before afterlife in this world too, my God.
Bear, my brother… Bear my small bird…
If humanity has died, let its tomb be Palestine.
Let its tombstone be Jerusalem.
Or, let these lands be again revival of humanity. Let a new perspective and a new community be born from its ashes, I hope. Our wish is so. Even though this prayer seems so hard to be realized, my God, your strength is endless. Nothing is difficult for you. For sure...
Many mountains of cruelty were demolished thanks to many sincere prayers. Many empires, many kingdoms collapsed in a night, in a time they thought themselves so strong. It is known that many events to draw a lesson happened in the history. A mosquito killed Nemrut, didn’t it? An ant demolished Pharaoh’s palace, didn’t it?
A man, proud of his lands and gardens, is told in Quran. One morning, the man gets up, and finds an empty ruin in the place of the land which he was proud of.
This is a possible event to draw a lesson for everybody and every field. The ones who see that nothing happens to them in this world despite their sins and cruelties, and get wilder or the ones who suppose themselves in a special position have the punishment and the slap they deserve in such a sudden time and so hardly that even they become surprised. “They will shake their heads at you (in amazement and derision) and say: “When will that be?” Say: “It may well be soon.” ” (Al-Isra, 51)
We will continue the aids both materially and with prayers. Since the time of the prayers come.
“Sunset is the time of the evening prayers...and the visitation of calamities and infliction of harmful things the times of certain supplications when man realizes his impotence and through his supplication and entreaty seeks refuge at the Court of One Possessing Absolute Power. Even if the calamities are not lifted despite many supplications, it may not be said that they were not accepted. It should rather be said that the time for the supplication is not yet over. If through His graciousness and munificence Almighty God removes the calamity, light upon light, then the time for that supplication is over and done with. That is to say, supplication has the meaning of worship and man’s acknowledging his servitude to God.” (Bediuzzaman, The Words)
The whole world is watching this cruelty, this calamity. The watcher is also criminal if a scream from his heart doesn’t become a huge avalanche and fall down. If there is no reaction from humans, it means that cruelty is all around the world. And this is a courier and inviter of a great calamity.
If humanity has died, let its tomb be Palestine…
Let its tombstone be Jerusalem.
Since consenting cruelty is cruelty too, they are big dangers both to watch what the cruel does, and to have a little liking. Whether the wick of the world is lighted from somewhere (maybe from here), there is no need to be surprised. The most suitable situation is as if ready in this geography.
In the past, in Çanakkale, in Bosnia, in Chechnya… And today in Palestine and in many other regions, the wronged and the mistreated is us. Us… Our Muslim brothers…
It is time to awaken for us. We have no right to wait for relaxation and mercy from Allah unless we throw the hatred, the hostility completely away.
Our prayers and the senses in our hearts should flow not like the drops separate from each other but together, melted in the same ideal. We cannot wait the mercy to rise before we destroy the barriers inside us. Let’s wish and desire sincerely this sacrifice and giving up the other things for the sake of the coming beautiful days, for the sake of happy tomorrows of our children and grandchildren from our God.
Let’s pray together. If we are only one and together, composed of flesh and bone, consent and mercy of our God are with us, I hope… The consequence is not from us…
My God, do not give our egos and Satan opportunities. Make our Muslim brothers that are from Gaza, Palestine and in the every region of the world winner and protect them. Please accept the prayers of those mourning hearts and the crying eyes. My God, curse our enemies. Honour Islam and the Muslims everywhere with your name, Al-Aziz. Give reason and belief to the leading heads. Amen.
A story to draw a lesson from the age of happiness, the age of our Prophet… An event that shows the real faces of Jews that harm Muslims in every chance and try to spoil the unity and cooperation between us:
One day, while a few young Muslim mans were chatting sincerely, a Jew saw them. He got afraid that this situation was a sign of Islam’s strengthening and if it went on like this it would be disadvantageous to them. He immediately found a young Jew and sent him near them saying that “Remind them the previous struggle of the Evs and Hazrec tribes, provoke and incite them.
And the Jew provoked and incited them by reading some poems telling the struggles of pre-Islamic age of ignorance.
And those young Muslims, with the feeling of heroism, attempted to show that they are not afraid of each other. Immediately they ran, took their weapons, and gathered in a square.
While this Jew instigation was leading those thrilled young people to bloody actions, Our Prophet (pbuh), aware of this events, went near the young, immediately. The young people, seeing our Prophet, hesitated. Our Prophet, the Great Messengersaid those words addressing that group:
“Oh, Muslims! Beware of Allah. Beware of Allah. Behave reasonably. When I am still alive, still among you, are you still dealing with works of ignorant, wild trials?! Don’t you ever think about the consequences of these actions?..”
Just as cold water prevents the boiling milk from overflowing; the agitated feelings of the young people who listened to the Prophet died. They repented and hugged each other crying.
            …
It seems that the constructive side of the things we are experiencing nowadays uniting of the Muslims all over the world first time in such intensive, such sincere feelings and prayers… The aids are raining and the reactions are increasing. I hope, this unity of belief, of the holy book, of the direction of Mecca, of the prayers and of the feelings will destroy the distances and barriers between us, and bring the days in which all Muslims are a single body, the days we are missing so much. Our hope and prayer is so. Allah is powerful enough for everything.
Well, if humanity has died, let its tomb be Palestine…
However, I hope, humanity will not die, Palestine will not become extinct, and this castle will not be conquered. Despite the leading heads, the humanlike monsters, the cruel, the traitors, bloody agents and zionists, the reaction of its public –even a part- increases our hope. It is soon that the good news Bediuzzaman gave a century ago will come true.
“Well, be hopeful. Among the future revolutions, the highest, the strongest voice will be Islam’s voice.” Our hope is complete. We are near to every beneficence and every aid for this sake. Come on, faster. Before it gets too late…
