Much has been said about the books called "The Risale-i Nur Collection" so far. Publications, for and against have been made. Various claims have been proposed. Even those who never opened a page from the collection have written about it.
And the Risale-i Nur has been read among various groups, masses of people in our society.
It has been translated to many world languages such as English, Arabic, German, Indonesian, French, Gujatari and Russian.
Institutions to do research on the Risale-i Nur have been established in Germany and United States of America.
Thesis studies have been done on the Risale-i Nur at the universities of some countries from west to east. In some prominent publications those studies have been published.
Whether we approve or not, it must be admitted that the Risale-i Nur is a fact of our era, our country and the world.
These works in all are a commentary of Quran. Without referring to any other books it takes Quran as the basic source and explains the Quranic verses in accordance with the understanding of the time.
    • Who am I? Where did I come from? What is the purpose of life? Where will I go?
    • What sort of religion is Islam?
    • What is its place in the contemporary world?
    • How much do we know about Islam as a member of a Muslim society?
    • Does Islam have what we seek and do we have what Islam seeks.
People of today's world which is in the process of a fast and constant change seek answers to those questions which are quite different than the past.
They want to testify (by their own eyes and minds) the secret of Quran, the holy book which was descended 1400 years ago satisfies the needs of people today as well as it did then.
Thus, the Risale-i Nur Collection has been prepared to meet such a need.
It gives the answers to "why" and "for what reason" questions explicitly and satisfactorily and unites modern life-style with religious life-style and science and technology with religious beliefs
In the Risale-i Nur one can find the description of Islam which Quran has brought. It is the Islam of people who believe in Allah and Quran with all heart, and the people who are civilized, contemporary, independent and tolerant.
It has nothing to do with the world ideologies and this has been proved and stabled with hundreds of acquittal, given by independent Turkish Courts.
These works defining true Islam and truth which Islam views never based on oppressive political methods but rather they have always become true guides for the truth in knowledge.
